If you’re into thrilling rides and amusement parks, this post will definitely tickle your fancy! Thanks to JTB, I was luckily able to step foot into the highly popular FUJI-Q Highland [(富士急ハイランド] in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan & was opened on 2 March 1968.
With about 40 different attractions, there’s something for everyone, from thrilling roller coasters for the brave to theme park rides that families can enjoy.
You can also enjoy sightseeing — Mt Fuji !
“The theme park is near the base of Mount Fuji. It has a number of roller coasters, as well as two haunted attractions: the Haunted Hospital, the world’s second largest haunted attraction, and the newly built Hopeless Fortress. Other attractions include Thomas Land, a children’s area with a Thomas the Tank Engine theme and attractions themed to Gundam and Evangelion.”
Honestly speaking, I am terrified of rides! So I was really happy when I found out that there are rides for people like me — Tea Cups, Merry-Go-Round, Shining Flower, etc. However, for the brave souls out there, I’m 101% sure you will enjoy!
They also have a Haunted House which I heard was terrifying — I’m off to NOPESVILLE! :)) Maybe next time!
My tummy was already doing cartwheels just by watching people on the roller coasters screaming their lungs out!
Wish I had the guts to try this! Yikes!
Would you ride this? 😮
My favourite area– La Ville de Gaspard et Lisa! It’s the world’s first theme park based on the popular French picture book characters: Gaspard and Lisa; admission is free!
With my fave JTB girl, Pia! <3 She’s the one who took most of my photos from this trip, hehe.
We were also invited to check out the rooms in the Fuji-Q Highland Hotel! Imagine getting married and having your reception here?! Wowww!
If you have kids (and the budget), why not stay in the Thomas room!
Fuji-Q and other cute merchandise are also sold inside!
Fun fact: I LOVE JAPANESE VENDOS! Like, everytime I see one, I feel the need to purchase something! hehe
Ice skating all year round!
Got to try Bouha-tei restaurant…and…I got to try on costumes inside!!!
I think I failed at being a samurai?! hehe 🙂 Hope you enjoyed this post!
