The Fukouoka Tower is 234m and is covered with 8000 half mirrors; plus it is the tallest seaside tower in Japan! From the observation room, you will be able to see the urban functions, nature and culture of Fukuoka city.
You can also enjoy the tower from the outside because at night, it is illuminated with various lighting patterns such as cherry blossoms during spring!
Super cute mascot!
information brochures are readily available in different languages. But I didn’t even have to worry about this cause JTB also provides us with various brochures prior each location visit. Good job JTB!
You don’t have to wait that long to get inside the elevator. I’m not sure if it was because we went during off-peak time/weekday though! The tower opens at 9:00am and closes at 10:00pm and admission until 30 minutes before closing — don’t be late! Closing time may change depending on the season.
Another fun fact about the tower is that it’s also known as a certified Lovers Sanctuary for couples in Fukuoka city! Since I have no love and no locks, I just took a photo in front of the love locks , lol! Does love for dogs or food count?!
People believe that your love will last forever if you hang a heart shaped love key on the fence at Lovers Sanctuary. You can buy one at the ticket counter or on the 3rd level Observation Room!
FEES AND ACCESSIBILITY:
Posting this here just in case you won’t be joining a tour group. Though I suggest joining one especially if you’re not familiar with the area since they have everything ironed out for you, hehe.
